After graduation from the University of Wisconsin, Ross began his career as a pharmacist in 1966 with one of America’s largest drug store chains while continuing his studies in nutrition, fitness and longevity, ultimately earning his certification as a clinical nutritionist (CCN) and a Ph.D. in nutrition.
His initial approach to integrative health has made him an expert in the field of alternative therapies. Ross is the author of ten highly regarded books on health and nutrition and is a sought after educator and speaker on a variety of integrative health-related topics. As the author of The Drug-Induced Nutrient Depletion Handbook, which is a gold-standard reference book for healthcare practitioners, Ross is considered one of the world’s leading authorities on the topic of drug-induced depletions.

Ross’ responsibilities as Scientific Director will be guiding the company’s scientific strategy and direction with a particular focus on research, innovation, evidenced based practice, quality improvement and education. Integral to the role will be the provision of advanced scientific advice and expertise to EFI leadership and the Science Advisory Board.
