Q: What is in Reg’Activ® IMMUNE & VITALITY™? How does it work?
A: Reg’Activ® IMMUNE & VITALITY™ combines the glutathione-producing probiotic Lactobacillus fermentum ME-3 with Lactobacillus brevis KP08. A novel probiotic strain from Japan, KP08, promotes the balanced production of interferon-α, which supports a healthy immune response. This unique probiotic formula provides highly synergistic immune system effects. Reg’Activ® IMMUNE & VITALITY™ also contains essential B vitamins and vitamin C support immune health, balanced metabolism, and energy production.
Together, these synergetic ingredients promote a balanced immune response and help maintain energy levels on a cellular level. No other product on the market today approaches immune health in this way.
Q: What is Lactobacillus brevis KP08, and why is it added to the Reg’Activ® IMMUNE & VITALITY™ formula?
A: Lactobacillus brevis KP08 is a strain of probiotic bacteria that provides unique immune system-supporting properties. Studies report that KP08 promotes interferon-α production and the activity of 2-5 synthetase. Both functions are potent activities in the immune system’s handling common day-to-day challenges.
KP08 also supports natural killer cells’ regular activity (NK). Natural killer (NK) cells are an essential part of the body’s frontline immune response—addressing common challenges outside the body and maintaining healthy cellular apoptosis within the body.*
As of September 28, 2022, there are 22 publications on KP08 index on PubMed. When searching for information about this species on your own, it is helpful to know that the official name of Lactobacillus Brevis KP08 is “Lactobacillus Brevis subspecies coagulans.” It is also sometimes referred to as KB290. Sometimes a bacterial strain will have more than one commercial name. Both KP08 and KB290 refer to Lactobacillus Brevis subspecies coagulans.
KP08 was discovered in Japan and is quite popular due to its proven immune system-supporting properties. As far as we know, our Reg’Activ® IMMUNE & VITALITY™ formula is the first probiotic product outside of Japan to utilize KP08.*
Q: Why does Reg’Activ® IMMUNE & VITALITY™ contain only 4 billion ME-3 bacteria per daily dose (2 capsules), whereas Cardio Wellness and Detox & Liver Health provide 6 billion ME-3 bacteria per dose?
A: The lower ME-3 dosage in the IMMUNE & VITALITY™ formula “makes room” for the added KP08 strain. We felt this was appropriate for the IMMUNE & VITALITY™ formula since KP08 adds powerful synergistic support for immune system activity.*
